Poole of Light
1913 – The North of England is suffering from industrial decline and poverty is everywhere. People are moving to find new jobs and population growth in the cities is at a tipping point. Escaping an abusive childhood, 10-year-old Jeremiah Poole has just arrived in a new city and is determined to make a brighter future for himself.
